Terms of Service
Last updated August 5, 2026
These terms apply when you create or use a Lakop workspace. Plain version: use it for a real business, keep your channel connections and payment details truthful, and understand that we sit between you and the marketplaces rather than replacing them.
The service
Lakop is a multi-tenant system for running an SMB's operation: customers, catalog, inventory, orders, purchasing, accounting and connected sales channels, sharing one stock pool and one ledger. Each business gets its own isolated workspace.
Your account
You are responsible for what happens under your workspace, including what your team members do. Keep your credentials to yourself; invite teammates properly rather than sharing a login, since roles are what limit who can see costs, margins and financial records.
You must have the right to connect the sales channels you connect, and to hold the customer data those channels send us.
Connected channels
When you connect eBay, Shopify, or another channel, you also remain bound by that channel's own rules. We act on your behalf within the permissions you grant and can lose access at any time if you revoke them or the channel changes its terms. Lakop is not responsible for a channel suspending, rate-limiting or changing its API.
Money and accounting
Card payments on your storefront are processed by Stripe under your own Stripe account. Lakop never holds your funds.
Lakop posts double-entry accounting entries automatically from your business events, and those entries are append-only. It is a bookkeeping system, not an accountant: you remain responsible for your filings, your tax positions and for reviewing what the system posted.
Availability
We aim to keep the service up and to give notice before planned downtime, but we do not promise uninterrupted availability. Features may change as the product develops.
Ending it
You can stop using Lakop at any time and ask us to close your workspace. We can suspend a workspace that is being used unlawfully, that abuses the service, or that puts our channel integrations at risk. You can export your data before you go.
Liability
The service is provided as-is, to the fullest extent the law allows. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost profits or lost sales. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
